What is the Skills Hub?

Watch our short video here to find out more…

The Skills Hub brings different organisations together to work collaboratively to meet the needs of people and employers in Newcastle. Since launching in Newcastle’s City Library in 2016, the Skills Hub partners have supported hundreds of people move into education, work or training.

Whilst we are usually based on level 2 at Newcastle City Library, our space is currently closed and we’re operating differently but all of our partners are still providing support via telephone, video calls and online.

The Skills Hub delivers an events programme with partners to help you get closer to work or self-employment, and to help you overcome barriers. This includes meeting employers through jobs fairs. Currently the events programme will be delivered virtually, via online digital platforms such as Zoom, until our usual services resume. For more information on events with partners then register at Jobs@SkillsHub
